Sunset in Cromer

25 miles East along the North Norfolk coast from Wells is the seaside town of Cromer.

Cromer Crabs

The town is well known for its seafood, specifically the Cromer crab, which is the focus of the local fishing industry. You can often find freshly prepared crabs on sale in Cromer itself, as well as inland market towns such as Holt and Fakenham.

Royal Visitors

Cromer has been a popular holiday destination since Edwardian times. With easy links to London via its train station, Cromer provided host to guests such as future King Edward VII, writer Arthur Conan Doyle and actress Lillie Langtry, who performed in the town in 1906.
